Hi, I’m Zach.

I created SKNxZach so young boys of color can feel good and look good.

Back in middle school, I suffered from mild acne due to not having a skincare routine. Skincare in general was viewed as a feminine thing so a lot of my friends were having the same troubles I was.

During my journey to try to improve my skin, I bought dozens of products, but none seemed to work effectively. In light of this, I made the decision to launch my own line of products.

I am proud to share the results and encourage you all to try the products. They have made a huge difference in the health and appearance of my skin. My friends have also had amazing results!


Hi, I’m Samora.

I  created Skin x Samora Meertins-George (SKNxSMG) to provide teenagers of color with skincare products that are beneficial to our skin types. One common misconception is that Black skin, because  it's darker,  it's tougher and less sensitive. However, it is the opposite. Black skin can scar more easily, as well as become irritated and burn when using the wrong products. Although my focus is to treat sensitive teenage skin, not all skin is created equal.

When I was younger, I enjoyed making various natural skincare products at home -- from brown sugar & honey scrubs, to avocado & papaya masks, to castor oil eyelash serums. I loved getting my hands dirty and having the power to create and alter the ingredients to my own liking. This independence guided my journey towards launching SKIN xSMG. 

None of us are perfect and I appreciate all my differences and oddities: they are why I am who I am. Yes, I'm probably sometimes too focused on my external appearance. But I also enjoy taking care of myself and doing things that make me shine and smile inside -- whether it's rewarding myself with a cupcake after a hard day, burning scented candles, a long walk, doing my skincare routine on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Skincare is an important part of our general well-being, and it means a lot to be able to help and inspire others to treat their skin well so it can reflect their inner radiance.
